Ok here goes ....... One of the things that you need a transit "pass" on the bus, the Sky Train and Sea Bus (business cycle in the port of North Vancouver ).... This gives you access to Lynn Canyon and Capilano Suspension Bridge, and access to Grouse Mountain and the ride to the sky
and you will be able to see wear the orphanage, and there is plenty to do there, and of course the view is incredible.
With a pass from transport can be visited on the sky train and all the peripheral areas (Burnaby, New Westminster, etc etc) and if you like malls as big Metrotown in Burnaby is one of the stations, and The Business Center is enormous.
As for a passport, that also give you a very cost vist Victoria and Vancouver, Iceland ", S of our capital. He must make tonnes to the museum for generations to Parliament in some pubs and shops. The ferry across the strait is nice, but a visit from Vic requires a full day. You can easily see Butchart Gardens when you time.On see anough a side note, if you can spend the night in shelters and Vic were great the way ... Night and in this way you can see and come back the next day.
Greyhound goes to Whistler (home of the Olympic Winter Games of 2010) in Vancouver, and is certainly worth a look ... The Sea to Sky Highway is dramatic and very interesting, sometimes! Lol Again, however, requires a whole day! If the line "Zip Trip" is a whore, and the gondola!
I threw in a web cam you can see Whistler ... Scotland is a little different ... Also check the photo section ......

As for the beautiful downtown Vancouver, yes, there are a multitude of things to do, that "freeOr low-cost, Granville Iceland, Town Gas, Robson Street, Chinatown, Stanley Park, Vancouver Art Gallery, El Mirador, Vancouver Aquarium, Vancouver Museum and Center, Imax Theater, taxis and many pubs and large multinational corporations "Eating places ! * Lol
I suggest that "Yahoo" or "Google" these places mentioned above and you'll be pleasantly surprised, because they are all be easily accessible, particularly at Granville Iceland and Stanley Park
You see, if you're there, that Vancouver is a safe city and you can walk around and enjoy the many facets it has easily offer! Spectacular views of the sea and the mountains and the beach (English Bay, Kitsilano beach and wreck) add, of course! * Lol *
Not sure if this is your idea of entertainment, but one of the things you enjoy is good to the Museum of Anthropology "at UBC .. is truly world class and said, British Columbia since its early days (Ice Age) and has one of the best & quot; shows First Nations, without exception, everywhere in the world ... seriously!
There are tons to do and not be bored!
Here are some interactive maps ... for navigation and a good website to Vancouver ......
